CNC / Joinery

Simple 2D and complex 3D  shapes have been programmed and overseed for machining in both an Omnitech Spectra 510 CNC router machine and Omnitech Selexx Pal CNC router machine. With the help of creating a set of template libraries for a variety of materials, the programming stage is optimized for plastics, wood and aluminum materials as much as the creation of advanced rhino scripts to automate the geometric preparation process. As my help has contributed to the development of several parts, programming operations such as milling, drilling, boring, planning and part of my skills and this experience include working in a metric or Imperial setting.

Programming stage

  • Analyze technical documentation in 2D or 3D to prepare the nesting.

  • Use CAD to create and plan the cutting paths.

  • Consider the tools required to cut particulate materials and program accordingly.

  • Plan the tool sequences accordingly to the tool and machining strategies.

  • Adjust machine cutting paths, specific speeds and feeds including tolerances to meet tools requirements with the machine capabilities.

  • Simulate the cutting or machining strategies and re-adjust procedures accordingly.

  • Verify the machine controller and its settings.

  • Generate the G-code or cutting plan.

Operating stage

  • Load the G-code in the machine.

  • Load the required tools.

  • Load the required material to be cut.

  • Turn the spindle on

  • Turn the coolant on when applied.

  • Move the machine spindle or cutting head to the start position.

  • Start the machining process

  • Turn the coolant off when applied.

  • Turn the spindle off

  • Perform quality assurance and verified tolerances to ensure parts meet design specifications.

  • End the CNC program

  • Storage part for assembly.

Maintenance stage

  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise

  • Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication and sharpening on a daily, weekly and monthly basics machine requirements.
